Busselton Soccer Club

Geographically, Busselton is the closest opposition side to Dunsborough, residing 20 kms up Caves Road/Bussel Highway but once on the field -  the sides could not be further apart or more fierce in their determination to beat the other. Guys and girls who on any other day share workplaces, surfing breaks, schools and who rely on one another in the community, go to war - and take no prisoners. Large numbers of spectators attend this fixture and both teams look forward to the inevitable arm wrestle with a few slaps thrown in for good measure.

Busselton is a proud and long established club, having been around in one way or another since 1923. They regularly finish in the top part of the league ladder and have provided many fine highlights in their illustrious journey. Each year they hold a carnival drawing teams from all over the state. However, they now have an impatient and ambitious next door neighbour, eyeing their place at the top the the ladder and working hard to knock them off their perch. Competing for players, supporters and sponsors, the two Geograph Bay clubs are already at each other's throats - no wonder, sparks fly  when the teams meet.

Despite the fierce and unrelenting rivalry between the clubs, all is forgotten and forgiven with the final whistle and players from each team can join together after the game to share a laugh and celebrate the true spirit of sportsmanship leaving players from both sides to limp home or to their physio to patch them up for the next encounter.
