Australind Soccer Club

The Club entered the SWSA reserve competition for the start of the 1987 season. Playing its first League game on the 5th of April 1987 against the experienced "Old Boys" team of the Bunbury Cavaliers at the Leschenault ground. Although losing the game 2-1, history had been made, Victor Logue captained the side and wily Scot, Jim Suffield captured some history of his own by becoming the scorer of the first goal for the Australind Soccer Club. A new member club of South West Soccer had been born.

Dunsborough and Australind have played many close and mostly gentlemanly encounters with both sides bringing out the best skills in each other. For most of Dunsborough's short history, Australind have been one of the top sides in the league and have challenged Dunsborough to many a strategic and chess-like battle of wits. Dunsborough have not been found wanting with some memorable wins and heart-stopping draws against Australind.
